bliss

Poem: Have You Ever

Poem: Have You Ever 2000 1000 Nadir Keval

Have you ever
met someone
who at first sight
left you breathless,
with your heart no longer beating,
except with their presence?

When I first saw her,
I knew from that moment
that she was meant to be
more than just anybody,
but instead, my everybody.

I couldn’t imagine myself
ever coming to a point of understanding
what it meant to fall in love.
I had always heard that people would
fall in love at first sight,
but thought this to be impossible
without sharing some words
to gain some insight.

But now, I see
that what they all meant
was that when you find love,
your souls are not meeting,
but simply reuniting.
We don’t need to say our hellos
because we already know,
that we were written for one another,
long before we were even born.

Poem: Wind

Poem: Wind 1280 800 Nadir Keval

The winds rush through the trees,
swift and driven.
They often say little,
but sometimes are deafening.
Their impact always remains,
but we only see their wrath,
never seeing their blessings.
They seem to exist simply to shift and sway,
leaving distraught anything that comes in their way.

The winds flow through the trees,
calm and smitten.
They break weak branches,
and sacrifice their fluidity,
to protect those who depend on the strength of trees.
The coolness they bring on a hot summer’s day,
and the seeds they carry
to help continue the cycle of life,
if often unseen or forgotten.
By the will and generosity of God,
they are what connect nature’s life and death.

The wind is like the love we experience in life,
sometimes it breaks us, sometimes it leaves us light.
Regardless of if it comes,
or if it leaves,
love and wind bless us,
with their existence and ease.
Imagine how it would be,
if you would simply love…
no reservations, expectations,
or reciprocation needed.
You would become like the wind.
Not everyone will embrace you.
Sometimes you may intimidate.
But, when the thoughtful and sincere,
take their moment to breathe,
they will feel your presence,
and all the bliss it brings.

Poem: Where do you wanna be?

Poem: Where do you wanna be? 984 1200 Nadir Keval

Reflect. Think. Do.
Done. Thought. Reflected.
Life is a journey meant to be lived.
Life is a drive-thru to eternity,
Of cool bliss or hot misery.
Stay true to your soul,
Turn your dreams into goals.
That’s what’ll get you what you need:
Happiness and a heart soaring free.
The question is: Where do you wanna be?

Poem: Into The Horizon

Poem: Into The Horizon 1920 1080 Nadir Keval

It was the first time I had seen the horizon
Sunset rising, bringing a glisten to my eyes.
I wondered how this could be,
since it still wasn’t morning,
And realized it wasn’t the sun.
It was the twinkle in your eyes.
At that moment, I began to smile,
Thinking how I could thank The Almighty,
For bringing me someone like you,
A woman for whom I was surely
not worthy I held your hands tightly,
told you to close your eyes.
For that small simple moment
It felt we were breathing the same life.
I walked over to my corner
Raised my hands in praise Of God,
showing gratitude for who He sent my way.
I looked to you and smiled again.
I hope our smiles never fade away.
You mean to me more than can be said
No words can describe it,
This is just meant to be felt.
The world called me crazy
Said that love doesn’t work this way.
As time passes by, they say love fades away.
I refuse to believe these words
As my Prophet (pbuh) said to think pure.
As long as our love is based on our love for God…
God-willing, we’ll always find our love prosper.
May Allah make our love last as a sign of success
In this life and in the Next.
God-willing, this life will be filled with bliss and laughter
But, to be honest,
I’m more excited about spending my life with you in the Hereafter.

Poem: He said, She said

Poem: He said, She said 1280 800 Nadir Keval

He said that he loved her,
Was willing to give her
Himself, in every aspect.
She said that he lived and lied,
Cuz if he loved her as he claimed,
He wouldn’t have forgotten to show her respect.

The world claimed their love to be wrong,
Saying he was making mistakes,
And had forgotten all that made him strong.
They said she was playing him,
And that he’d be left with nothing.
But he trusted his love,
And he knew it wouldn’t just survive.
He was convinced it would thrive.

Months passed with patience,
And they grew closer than friends.
He said, “I want to take us serious,
But if you’re just having fun,
love me as you wish,
we won’t be unless you change.”
She said, “You gotta understand, I’m too young,
I want us to build that trust,
Before we take that plunge,
Into a life together forever.”

So much time had passed,
And they had become the best of friends.
He thought that maybe they were to take that step,
But her plans were elsewhere,
Saying that he had grown into a brother to her.

He said, “You broke my heart,
Ripped it out,
and shred it to pieces.
I never knew love would hurt like this,
I’ve just lost all trust in finding bliss
With you.”
She said, “You don’t understand,
I never knew this would happen.
I thought we’d be together too,
But I guess fate had other plans.”

Isn’t it plain to see?
Or is it just me?
That it’s clear to even heart’s that are blind,
She just looked him in the eyes,
And lied.
He was left broken,
And was robbed,
Of his very essence:
She took his heart.

Poem: Tried and Tested

Poem: Tried and Tested 2083 1606 Nadir Keval

One time, two time.
Third time a charm?
We’ve tried so many times,
But someone always ends up harmed.
It was clear that something just wasn’t working,
Gotta make some changes if we plan on surviving.

When we began, I was chasing after you,
Wanted to keep you close,
Just ’cause you meant that much.
But you chose to follow your career,
And thought I’d never help you achieve,
Happiness in reaching your dreams.
You told me to step aside,
In words that left me scarred.
Had you bruised me, I would’ve let it pass over,
But scarring me is something that’ll stay forever.

I walked away, knowing this:
You now hated me, so there was no chance at a second chance.
Then the next thing I knew, you began again,
Speaking as though nothing had ever happened.
It appeared as though you had felt for me again,
So I continued with, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

As time progressed, I began to fall for you
Once again, after I fought so hard to get over you.
Learned you had been speaking to other men,
And that then broke me apart once again.
So, I decided my only way was to cut loose,
Broken, I knew I wouldn’t regret this.

Finally, I got release,
And it truly was a feeling a bliss.

Now your trying to talk again,
But I don’t understand why you don’t understand…
We ended after the second time,
So accept it, you’ll never be mine.
